Hey to all of you out there.from Lancaster County, PA. My hubby drives a 1987 Freightshaker and sometimes I ride along with him. I found this site looking up where the fuse box is located in his truck. He stopped at a TA last night as he has no turn signals or 4 ways (not good) and the mechanic knew nothing and wanted to charge him. I understand the DOT is having some 72 hour thing so that just makes matters worse.

Hint: If you have to go put some Fresh Step Extreme cat litter in a bag then use. It will keep things fresh until you can dispose of it and isn't messy for the person who has to empty the trash.

Keep it between the lines & God bless

That's surprising T/A's generally have pretty good mechanics that could spot something as simple as a couple bad fuses. Hope all continues for you and hubby and welcome to our forum!

He found out the fuse is in the line but they keep blowing so he's gonna try a breaker. He did make it home safe & sound.

If it keep's blowing, there is a short somewhere and it's the wiring in the signals. I had the same problem and it was in the trailer. I disconnected the light cord and the trouble was gone, so it meant it was in the trailer. My particular problem was in the housing where the tail light are in, one of the wires insulation had worn from rubbing inside the frame housing.

    truckerswife1967 Thanks this.
