    Thanks!

All you can really do is apply, but like Otter said your record isnt all that great and with all the Unemployed people in the US looking for jobs with clean records you'll have allot of compition.

Hold on it's not like I have a messed up record. I've been at my last job for 3 yrs., the other two and my first 5 yrs. I have no DWI'S, DUI'S, nuthin. I've had to draw unemployment between jobs simply because there were no jobs in the area, even with my experience. And I'm going thru WIA so it's required to have 3 letters. All I'm asking is what companies are more understanding and will take a chance to get a PRE-HIRE, not a job just so I CAN go to school. Which makes no sense being that recruiters come to the school and issue pre-hires there. But right now it's do what I gotta do to get my CDL and asking for advice, not opinions.

Thanx man I will do. I've heard good things of Watkins Sheppard, after reading like a million posts lol. And your right, with so many ppl outta work it's hard just getting ONE pre hire. I myself am in that group as well, and it's hard trying to get a good job anywhere. My benefits are exhausted, and I never been one to sit around and wait for a handout. But trucking is my passion, and something I know I'll succeed in because driving is in my blood(I've driven #### near everything). With 6 kids, 4 cars and bills up the #####, you can imagine my need to land a job in trucking. Fortunately I've had an uncle who drove for Werner, Trans Am, & Western Express. He taught me everything I know and the ins and outs of the business. He's hoping I get in being that we'll drive team. But God said with Him ALL things are possible to whom that beleive, so I'm not giving up!! :biggrin_25519: My instructors are trying their best to get me in(Jack Foutz and Randy Batts, FTA GREAT GUYS) but quick ? Can I get a pre hire with smaller companies in my area and get accepted or it has to be with the bigger co. only? Not worried bout home time, dispatchers, etc. just trying to get my foot in the door like many who are in my shoes right now. I believe that it's what YOU make out of it, I hear and see guys all the time on here complaining bout their company but to me just be glad that you're working for a company and think about guys like me who's just getting started but facing adversity at the same time. Believe me, given a chance(which I know someone will), I'll would be most grateful and work it like a 9 to 5. Best of luck out there and keep those vids coming, we're watchin!!:biggrin_2559:
