Oh I never changed it. I drove for Maverick up until last week had to leave to take care of some things at home. Great company though I have nothing bad to say about them and lots of positives to say about them. They aren't perfect, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Seriously the training crew is awesome especially Lou, Charles, & Ed they are all good guys though.
Sorry about the misinformation about TCD getting the weekend guarantee the guy in my class that went TCD was griping about not getting the guarantee so that's where I got that from.

What division were you in and I hope your family situation gets better. -
Hey to Captainx3, Thanks for the comeback so soon. Glad to hear ur posting these replies parked some where. U said u wr parked in rest area in illinois friday night waiting 4 the storm coming in. Hope u were'nt heading west in this mess thats now coming in here on sunday night at 6:30 pm. It's coming down here pretty bad. Oh the perils of a trucker. Just a couple of things. I believe i've read in other posts that u get so much personal time available to take off with so much notice. Hows that work again? If i get back on the road again i know i'll probably have to deal with elderly mother situations some time. At this point i think you've answerd almost everthing i can think of. Better to here it from you than what a recruiter may tell me. Btw is there any one recruiter you would recommend to me that i could ask for when i call in for more info. and apply that is straight up with me? I spoke with a guy when i called in a few months back. Based on what i told him he said i could pobably qualify, but he gave me the impression of not being very helpfull. I don't recall a name. And if there is a referal bonus for u as a driver and u can be of any help there u can pm me at e-mail seaton51@yahoo.com to steve. You've been a great source of help to me. I'm ready to throw my hat in the ring with maverick and hope 4 the best. Want to give a shout out to sharp. dressed.man 4 ur help as well. Sorry to hear about leaving with family issues. I know all about that with dealing with my elderly mother over the years that got me to this point. But blood comes first no matter how difficult it may be. Out 4 now. Be safe. Manitouman.

Manitouman,
Thanks for the kind words!
For personal time, you get three special requests per quarter, or one per month. These can be used to request more days off than you would normally get, or be used to request time off when you're not normally scheduled for it. I don't know if there is a limit to the number of days, you'd have to ask about that. I know that you have to submit the request at least 14 days before you want it, if I'm not mistaken.
If you'd like to use me as a reference, feel free, I appreciate it. My name is Tim Graham and I drive truck 12973. My recruiter was Courtney and she was wonderful, I'd definitely recommend her.
Be sure to keep us updated on what Mav says and how everything goes! -
raetnrunner Thanks this.

Hey to Captainx3, Thanks for quick come back yesterday. But one issue u did'nt comment on was the question on how long of training u did on tcd. after orientation. Coutney said could be up to 2wks. in the yard, even though web site says only one day. What's up with that? Last thing i can think of is vacation time after 1st. year. do they just average your miles and use that as a base for payment for week or what? Thanks, Manitouman.

The actual TCD training class is only one day, or it may be stretched over two days now. The reason why it can take 2 weeks is they don't begin a class until they have a few students to fill it, it would take too much time and money to train only one student at a time.
If there is some waiting time, keep in mind that as long as you're not at home and staying in the hotel, you're still making $550 per week. At the very least, you can brag later that you made $1100 doing absolutely nothing in training
After your 1st year, you get one week of vacation time. The last time I checked, the flat pay for that was $500, and you can either take the vacation, or skip it and take the cash directly without taking the time off.
Im not 100% sure I'd they still only pay $500 or if that's changed, I'm sure the other drivers on here could tell you for sure how it works. I wouldn't mind knowing myself since mine will be available in June.raetnrunner Thanks this. -
Vacation pay $600 a week after five years you get your average weekly pay. Say you make $52,000 your vacation pay thousand dollars.
