    hey im a trucker just joined here trying to find a owner operator or an independent small trucking company looking for a good driver can anyone point me in the right direction

    Look in the seek employment forum here and maybe post your own ad down there. Look in the nearest big city's newspaper, get on websites like Careerbuilder.com or if you live near Ft. Bragg you might check usajobs.gov. You might even check out trucks frequenting local factories.

    OO's post in Craigslist.org a lot. But you have to be real careful in there. Half are shysters.

    I would be concerned about benefits and having a retirement plan. When you are young is when you should start.

    pick up the phone book,

    Go sit around the local truck stops.

    Find the local brokers and find out who they are working with. Or at least give them your business card and they can pass it on to an O/O.

    Put up a flyer in a local fuel stop.
