I failed at the Schneider test last year. Couldn't do the 100lb pull. Now I am looking at covenant and hoping their physical agility tests are ok. Anyone know anything about them? I tried clicking on a link here but it didn't work.

What is the 100 lb pull?
-
Sue them for gender discrimination.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

Yea what is the 100lbs pull?
-
It was where I had to pull a rope with the strength of 100lb three times. I had to have a average of 100lb. One time I did 93, one time I did 107 and the last time it was 79lbs.
That was the last test of 10 and the only one I failed at. So now of course I am paranoid. -
Interesting only thing I ever had to pull was some straps and, a tarp in my years of trucking. Then again I am a lazy trucker, I think you will be fine at the other place. -
yeah, i have only "seen" a few companies do this, one believe it or not is the AAA for thier road service truck drivers.
for the o/p, i'd figure there would be "some allowances" for the genders.
then again, maybe the guys would scream gender bias..???IluvCATS Thanks this. -
My first job was with Watkins/Shepard (now owned by Schneider) and there was a petite black woman that was part of our orientation that failed that stupid test and was sent home. It is totally biased against women and should be eliminated. I sincerely hope that you sue Schneider out of existence. If I was on that jury you would be awarded millions.buddyd157 Thanks this.

Gender discrimination is not at play here. Just because a test is exclusionary does not mean it discriminates.
This is not a test designed to prevent "undesirable " but otherwise qualified candidates from being hired.
It is given to all candidates and shows an ability to do the job (closing trailer doors against a strong wind, driver assist unloads).
@doireann - I would call the recruiter and ask exactly what they will testdoireann Thanks this. -
Women are weaker than men and any “strength” test is therefore discriminatory. This is just another way to weed out female applicants.
