a broker is a middle man. people go to the broker to get there freight moved you then haul the freight for the broker.
you don't need a broker bond unless you contract a shipper and then want to hire that freight out to another company -
ok makes sence, how do i find and negotiate my own loads? can you give me any information on that..? Do i just need a DOT number and then call for my own loads???

Mirso take it nice and slow. You are better off driving a few years for someone else

I am not an owner operator. Im a company driver and currently very happy at my company. But o know that many owner operators go broke and lose thier truck and thier business because they jumped in head first without knowing the business. I very much WANT to become an O/O but before i do so I will work five years for someone else. I suggest you do the same.

A one-truck-Chuck with new authority, no references, and no experience is NOT going to get loads on his own. No one, except maybe some broker that has no intention of ever paying you, is going to give loads to you. You need to learn this business and build good business references in order to be successful as a company owner.
