Do they provide schooling, or do you have to attend a driving school before getting hired?

IF they hire you they will school you but you have to stay with them 1 yr at low wages to pay it back. Equipment is all new, under 350,000 miles and runs mostly 62 MPH. My brother did a year with them, mostly Carlisle Pa to the valley in Texas. Most of it was freeway running and he didnt fingerprint loads. I hear you can get on the tanker division in S Carolina or somewhere down there. All 53 ft dryvans where he was.

I think they did away with the schooling part, or that is at least what I was told at their main OC in Green Bay. However, I did see they had a CDL school in their Gary, IN OC, but I'm not sure if that's through Schneider, or an outside party since the trucks they were training in were not Schneider rigs.

Schneider does not do CDL training. A couple of our OCs rent space to third parties and are state licenses testers but thats it. If you are hired on ceetain positions come with tuition reimbursment.

After school and nearly a year of driving for a refr company, a friend of mine got into schnieder intermodal with a $4000 sign on bonus!

He now is offered a $2000 referral bonus for bringing in new drivers.

300,000 miles? The truck I was driving had 985,000 miles. The headlight were glazed so bad, you couldn't even tell they were on at night. It ran alright though.
