Dallas hasn't changed much then since i worked there several years ago. Terrible management, I was out of W. Memphis and it was pretty good. I talked to several drivers back them that really liked Indy. Did not care much for Charlotte, Gary or Carlisle, but liked I said I left there in 2005. Things maybe different no.

My thoughts are if it's this difficult to get a hold of a recruiter, how difficult will it be to get a hold of my dbl or worse yet get someone from breakdown on the phone. Bottom line being ignored by a recruiter leaves me second guessing the rest of the company, right or wrong, it's just my thought process.
In 20 years of driving I've never had such a difficult time getting a hold of a recruiter. I will be calling Green Bay and echoing those same sentiments. Maybe someone will actually say something to Mr Wallace and the next person won't have the same difficulty I did. -
I don't care what company you work for or what area you work out of.
You are gonna have different experiences depending on who you deal with. I have no problems with my DBL, I hear other drivers complain about theirs, it is a crap shoot. -
I have a great one. When she's at work. But she's missed a lot lately. And it sucks to be me when she's out. -
I'm out of Dallas but I'm dedicated for Masonite. My paychecks are consistently 1100 to 1300 gross a week. If you want real money with real home time, you're gonna have to sweat a little. But hey, with good paychecks for the weekends, it's worth it.
All I have to say is, if you don't like the Dallas OC, try working across the street at Werner. We will leave the door open on your way back. -
Look, I'm not knocking Schneider as a whole. I am knocking the recruiter and as I said, right or wrong, the only experience I have to judge the company on at this point is my experience with the recruiter. I think it's ridiculous to have someone ignore your calls and emails and expect that person to want to work there. I'm not saying I would have a hard time getting a hold of my dbl or breakdown but at the same time it's the only thing I have to equate it with. Like I said, I have too much experience to put up with his nonsense. I've found a good small company and will be running coast to coast like I prefer.
From everything I read, it seems as though Schneider is one of the better mega carriers. It's a shame the recruiter of all people is going to be the reason Im not going to give them a shot. I do appreciate all you guys helping me out with researching the company. Seems as though they have some good people driving for them, thanks to everyone. -
Try a different recruiter.

Recruiter must be independently wealthy. I know my recruiter was all over me, getting me into orientation.
Of course experience level may play a factor as well. but you have plenty if that too
I have to my experience was 180 of yours.Last edited: May 13, 2012
