What negative vibe? As I stated in an earlier post, I was not saying that Schneider is a terrible company. As far as bottom feeders go, they may be one of the better ones, but still a bottom feeder nonetheless. The fact is there are 400,000 trucking companies in the USA, but we see post after post here from people who only are considering the 10 or 20 biggest. I am simply pointing out that with some research, there are very likely better alternatives available. Many good companies don't hire via the internet (Luckey doesn't) and instead require you to seek them out. Many don't advertise even when they are hiring. Again, they are looking for people that are referred or have enough motivation to get off the couch and present themselves.

Luckey is a very good company. I worked there nearly 2 years. However, I had the opportunity to earn .58 cpm to start, plus get paid for everything I do: Drop, Hook, fuel, etc.... Plus be home every day. LTL isn't for everyone. FedEx has a pretty stringent hiring process, but it presented an even better opportunity for me.

If the best you have to to say my first company wasn't good because I left them to work for another, then your argument is weak indeed.

Turnover isn't as high as you think....
You would be surprised at how many drivers SNI has with 10+ years experience.
They hire constantly because they are growing by leaps and bounds....and need more drivers to meet their customers demands.
some quit...sure, but not as many as you think. They give many a chance that others wouldn't.
You are under educated my friend...don't hate on the Pumpkin.
With 10,000+ rigs on the road...SNI must be doing something right? Don't ya think?

    Luckey Trucking??
    lol
I've never seen even 1 of their trucks on the road and I drive all 48 states.
They must not be very lucky...or they would have a more successful business, ie....more trucks on the road...don't ya think?
    Now..Fed Ex,
    That's a good gig...no doubt about it.
I may even see myself going that direction some day.
But no rookie is going to get into Fed Ex unless they are well connected.

I drove team OTR for another company out of Iowa ( hated team ) but did my 8 months and moved on to SNI. Running solo regional out Houston for about 75 days when I was diagnosed with Melanoma Censer in the mouth. I've made it through the surgeries and treatments. CT scans have come back clean and now looking forward to getting back on the road. Hopefully SNI will have me back. When I contacted them they told me I was a good driver and could come back with no orientation if I could recover in 6 months. It will be about a year so wish be luck.

Quil, I have a friend that's been driving for about a year or so (no OTR) and is doing regional NE for Western Express. Pulling loads for Poland Springs.

Look up the CSA scores of some of the companies that pay $$$ and you will see why they have to offer that much to get any drivers. Yes, you can also earn more if you choose to do more of the work - I choose not to (been there, done that) because I want to spend more of my time driving the truck rather than unloading it (while it's being loaded / unloaded I have time for other things) Maybe if I were 30 years younger but not anymore.

One of my check is 1000 plus a week for 8 hour day.
