From 1977 to 1983 I worked at an insurance company. It was a desk job.
I can remember an "old timer" coming up to me saying NOT to have any personal items, or any other items in or on your desk that you would NOT want your boss or any security personnel to see.
It was NOT uncommon for a boss or authorized security person to go through someone's desk, clean it out, lock it, and NOT let the employee go to his or her desk when showing up for work. That employee was TERMINATED and then escorted out of the building by security personnel.
That job was TRULY & GENUINELY one stressful job. Unfortunately, it took me 6 years to be able to leave it. I then spent the next 8 years active duty in the U.S. Navy, (1984 to 1992). That was a whole new ballgame with a whole new set of "adventures", enough said.
NOTE:
If I were to become an OTR truck driver, I would ONLY keep the bare essentials needed. If I were to be terminated on the spot, or otherwise told to get out of the truck, it would be so much easier to take all my stuff in one felt swoop.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I talked to Gina she said $450 a week four weeks of training, after training solo at .31 then after 6 months .32, the miles can be from 1700 to 2300. Honestly I live 5 mins away from the company. Now with swift they start you at 400 week four to six weeks of training while your driving you get paid $9.50 per hour, after training you get paid .36 she offered 11 western or dollar tree . So I don't know I'm still undecided, I want to do research on knight transportation .. What do you think ?
