Hard to say , have checked them out and they both seem to be real good . ( compared to most out there for newbies ) I'm going with Watkins Shepard myself.

KLLM is reefer, and a green driver should stay away from reefer until he gets some experience in. Give it a year and then go drive the refrigerators.

Go with dry van at first. It's not as aggravating as reefer.

Being from Las Vegas I would say go with Gordon.
KLLM was the first OTR company I worked for and since they are out of MS seemed to have a problem getting me home to the NW.

This was back in the early 90's but my theory is to work for a out fit as close to home as possible or has a full service terminal as close to the house a possible.

    Good luck

As luck would have it, I worked for them also. They were a good company to work for and my leaving them was not due to anything they did. But I will say that for a new driver and especially one who lives were you do it might not be a good choice unless you run 48 states. Their 11 west fleet ran me to Vegas several times but after 1 winter my chains were shot from all the chaining I did. lots of nail biting back road driving that would not be worth what they will be paying you as a newbie. They also run auto-shift trucks and it is my belief that as a new driver you should be proficient shifting before driving auto-shift or it could cause issues should you decide to switch employers in the future

Just my 2 cents, Good Luck!
