Ummm, ooookay, so
"When police finally tracked him down, Romero-Brizuela was hauling 750 gallons of diesel in the back of his truck. "
Is that reality? Doing some math, thats a 5000-6000 lb load in the back of the truck.
And at 750 gal a haul, thats 133 times filling and emptying, single fill even on a high volume pump, we're talking a 30 minute fill time. X 2 for unload
Bushman Rectangle Water Storage Tank - 700 Gallon
90x64x34 inches for a 700 gallon tank... doesnt quite match the picture.
The funniest bit "police have no idea what he did with the fuel"
Lets say everything there is 100% true, i want to hire this guy to manage package delivery and warehousing, he clearly has the ability to hustle and get stuff done. Be interesting to see how he handled a legal and real logistics challenge.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
He probably found someone/somewhere to offload all that diesel fuel(save for the 750 gallons he was nailed with). I’m assuming that this done over a period of multiple days and not in one sitting.Magoo1968 Thanks this. -
Yeah. Just did the math for a 2010 f150 with a 6.5 ft bed. With the dimensions I found and have no reason to doubt the accuracy of, it can hold about 375 gallons under a tonneau cover. -
Seen a dude busted at The TA up on 80/90 near Chitown stealing fuel. Had this big ol Pete.
Russian dude. Apparently they had been on to him but couldn't catch him.
He knew how to hot wire the pumps some how.
He took a little too much this particular time, and it set off the tank leak alarm.
Like half a dozen Marshals swooped on his ###. -

"Found someone" yeah, i guess, but you tell me who has a spot to reliably go and do that volume... at best he had a couple of tankers hiding and was selling as he went, or just straight up selling to a different store/s with capacity.
Just saying, im impressed with the lengths gone to and the volume moved.
capacity for a 1 ton bed is about 6k, so its doable, but boy thats pushing comfortability for me without going to a dually -
ZVar Thanks this.

I'm guessing it's around a 2000 or so model year and a 6.5' bed. It is a super duty however, so at least an F250 so can likely take the weight in the bed. -
How many gallons of water would the bed of a truck hold? | TexAgs
