turns out knight will not let me hardwire an inverter to the batteries and neither will they so im figuring on getting two of the roadpro portable ovens does anybody have any experience with them?
-
have you asked the SHOP if they will install it? worst they can say is no
-
Everybody I've talked to at knight says they can't even put one in
-
the biggest one you can run is a 300watt model. that will run a 24inch LCD tv,and a dvd player off one, and if you have a laptop/fan/elct blanket it wil run it

This post started off with a way to wire an inverter that I used when I worked for a major carrier that didn't allow inverters. Decided that next time I saw or heard of a truck catching on fire, I'd wonder if it was my doing. I was probably lucky I got away with it for so long to be honest.
That being said, if you haven't started orientation with knight, I'd suggest finding a driver friendly company. All of our trucks come equipped with an apu and fridge. I'm sure more companies do the same. For those of us who stay out more than a few days at a time, it makes a world of difference.
