hello i just bought a dry van trailer from an individual. I live in maryland. Can anyone tell me do i need a md state inspection or will a inspection from the ta be ok.
So i can get tags and put it on the rd asap.

Do you have an MC number? Inspect it under your motor carrier's name. Do it yourself or pay TA.

I learned something new today -
I do my trailer inspection myself. Go to a Truckstop and pick up the inspection form/ sticker and start checking boxes off. -
Some states also require an inspector qualification form to accompany the inspection. -

Yep, you can do your own, at least in Tennessee. I recently learned this from a buddy too and instantly gained credentials as a qualified inspector. I didn't get a raise though....
