I have 2012 peterbilt 386. I have problems with it cranking up. It takes couple tries to get it started then drive for couple hours turn it off and again takes couple time to start. I have change the starter and sent it back to have it checked and came back good. Replace new batteries, alternator, ignition switch. The mechanics can’t find the problem. Has anyone had the same issue with their trucks. I’ll appreciate any info.

Lets get the terminology correct first. Is the starter failing to turn the engine? Or is the starter turning the engine and the engine is not firing? What brand of engine?
AModelCat, stillwurkin and Goodysnap Thank this. -

Sounds like you're losing prime somewhere or the lift pump isn't working. I've never worked on a 11.9, but on my ISX I've replaced the electric lift pump twice. You should hear it run for a minute or so after you turn the key to the "on" position. Double check that your fuel filters are in good condition and sealed properly. Look for any leaking lines.
