Getting read to purchase 2021 389 but find the headlights are hideous. Posting a picture of what I want and not sure if this is factory or aftermarket...anyone got some intel for me?

Those are just 357(?) single squares can try and find a used set they are expensive new
Concorde Thanks this. -
Yeah those are spendy because they weren’t real popular at the time. Try salvage yards and maybe even body shops. Call Peterbilt dealers and see if they have any takeoffs laying around. As long as they’re not dented they can be polished and brought back to life.

@abyliks and @Long FLD
Thank you both for replying to my question, your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
I have done some searching and found new and used ones. New, I can get them for $1,615 + tax.. Used, there’s a pair on EBay for maybe half of new cost (active auction, final price anyone’s guess).
Unfortunately the auction will be over before I know if I got the truck.
Personally, I’ll probably go with new and just sell the ones that come with the truck to recoup some of the cost.
If all goes as planned I’ll post a before and after pictures.
Thanks again!Long FLD Thanks this. -
From what I understand you will have to change some wiring to get the old lights to work, I’m assuming just some plugs/harnesses. I’ve never been around when someone is swapping them out.

@Banker how was the light switching from the factory ones to the other ones? I want to switch to the dual square 359 lights but not sure how they’ll light up the road compared to the factory 389 lights.
-
The round single ones I had first were ok, but personally I like the dual lights better. There really shouldn’t be a difference for me as I rarely use my high beams, but for some reason my current lights do better. I would like to put the brighter new style bulbs in them, but I don’t want to be that guy that blinds everyone on the road like most vehicles do nowadays.
D.Tibbitt, Concorde and Roberts450 Thank this. -
I put these bulbs in and it made a world of difference on the single lights. The bulbs that came in my current lights work great. I am not sure what bulb it is as I haven’t changed one yet.

As ugly as those alien eye lights are they do throw pretty good light, especially compared to the old standard sealed beams
