Sup gang. Was wondering if you guys run your phone number on your trucks? I'm going back and forth on the idea mostly due to the fact that I feel more people will call it just to say "hey you cut me off prick", than to say "Hey you got a nice rig. Got some work out of X that goes to X, Interested?"

How many trucking companies put their phone number on the truck? Very few.
Some years back one of our competitors ordered a whole bunch of pretty white mudflaps with the company logo and phone number printed on them.
He says now that he might have made dumber decisions than that but not that he can remember. He said that he had about ten times the complaints about his trucks than before and tons of rock/windshield calls.
I think he still has the mudflaps out behind his shop somewhere.blairandgretchen, Bean Jr. and VIDEODROME Thank this. -
See those are the concerns I had and Is why Im leaning towards no. Then again the companies that dont run a phone is megas or full size tractor trailers. Hotshot seems to be that specialty spot where I feel like I could be useful. But Idk Im just on the outside looking in on that.

I would say no... Just makes you that much easier for some idiot to try and take advantage of you... Its bad enough that people would think they can sue you into oblivion over something minor or somethimg you didn't even do, so why make it easy for them by putting your phone number on the truck.

No one is going to see your rig and call you asking if you will do a run for them. The industry, even hot shot, simply doesn't work that way.

Alright. No number it is then.

But you could sell your phone number to the telemarketers then give your phone to you best friend.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this or not but either make a website or facebook page dedicated to your company and just have that on your vehicle if you are wanting it to be easier for people to find you but without the annoying calls. -
Unless your a local service/delivery company, I would say don’t do it.
