In the slow-mo it looked like the tire at least wasn’t being run low on air.
D.Tibbitt and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
I watched it again. It’s a tread seperation. You can see the wheel assembly bouncing before the rupture.
cjb logistics, D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this. -
D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive, SmallPackage and 1 other person Thank this.

That's good looking out on the truckers part. He saw that tire going before it went.
D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive, SmallPackage and 2 others Thank this. -
I’ve never had a front tire blow on any pickup or passenger vehicle that I’ve owned.
Do they lose control like that pickup in the video like the big trucks do?singlescrewshaker, D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -
Best way to avoid total loss of control in a steer blowout is hammer the throttle and accel so it lifts the weight off the front.
That is why running on the governor or max cruise control is unsafe.
Anytime someone passes me or I pass and hear a tire thumping or see it bouncing I back out or accel past.singlescrewshaker, D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this.
