Mr. Truckdriver, it would be well worth checking into IMHO. Ya may wanna call and talk with our recruiter to see if you would be able to run it.
Deputy Chief, IDK anything about all that but if we're running an ad we must've picked up some stuff going/coming there. I know shortly after I started here I had a run going right into the Philly area that paid pretty doggone good.
The recruiting p.o.c. is Bob F.
I've been running really well between my psuedo-dedicated N.W. Canada I was running from Jan-April and now since we have this Orlando deal going. Then on top of that I've been popping the monthly bonus like clockwork for an extra $300 (keep barely missing the cutoff for 400 lol). So there is definitely good money to be made here as long as you can make the system work for you and things fall into place for you, the individual driver.
But, time to get back to work after good, long block of time off, and most likely going to stay out until I take my vacation in the last half of July. If you guys have any questions that recruiting cannot answer don't hesitate to contact me, I will help out however possible.
Y'all be safe out there and have fun!

Well, it apparently works for me

I said it before not every company works for everybody. But you also have to give the company more than a month or two to learn things and establish your own routine before you cut and run.
-
True! But look back when we were both at Superior, or even waaaay back when I was at Aartman. Lots of drivers came and went because the company wasn't a good fit for them.
-
And some of us are still there because we realize the grass isn't necessarily greener. Getting closer to that 3rd week of vacation pay every day.
Cyanide Thanks this. -
Superior was a good place when I was there, that is undisputable. Just that with where I'm at in my life and what I want and need, here works out much better and without certain silly stuff. Still a great company, but not my cup of tea anymore, especially not with what I have here.

Glad things still running well for you there Rob

Here's a refresher concerning the benefits and base starting pay here (based on a driver with the minimum qualifications). I hope this will help answer questions about things here.
-Hiring Requirement: 2 years O.T.R., with 1 year minimum chemical tanker experience.
-Starting Pay: 25% of gross line-haul revenue.
-Load/Unload Pay: $18 first two hours, then $18/hour.
-Breakdown Pay: $18/hour, maximum of eight hours per twenty-four hour period.
-Canadian border crossing pay (loaded): $50.
-Layover Pay: $80/day.
-Monthly Bonus Pay: $100-400.
If earned, bonus is paid mid-month, every month, and dependent upon criteria of miles driven, fuel economy (6+ mpg), idle %, overspeed/excessive speed, over RPM %, sudden starts/stops, log compliance, and general safety.
*To simplify things, if you run between 7,500-9,999 miles and score an "A" you'll get $300 for that month, score a "B" get $200.
10,000+ miles with an "A" gets $400 for that month, a "B" gets $250.
-Holiday Pay: $144 for seven holidays ($18/hour x 8 hours).
-Vacation Pay (after 1 year, paid hourly rate x 8 hours/day):
Years 1-9: 14 days.
Years 10+: 19 days.
-Orientation/Training Pay: $18/hour for all on-duty hours.
-Health Insurance with Vision Rider Plan (following 30 days following the 1st of month of date of hire. Weekly rates reflect participation in a Wellness Program):
$25 Office visit co-pay ($45 Specialist)
Annual Deductible: Individual $500/Family $1,000
Annual Out of Pocket Max: Individual $2,500/Family $5,000
Employee Plan: $24.93
Employee + Child: $47.37
Employee + Spouse: $52.35
Family Plan: $77.28
-Dental Insurance (same waiting period as the Health Insurance. Weekly rates):
Employee Plan: $6.64
Employee + Child: $15.17
Employee + Spouse: $12.82
Family Plan: $21.49
-Life Insurance (Company paid):
$25,000 (Option to purchase more up to $250,000, as well as a 25k Spouse and/or a 10k Child policy).
-401k Plan (after 1 year):
Company matches 100% of first 2%.
-Equipment:
Peterbilt 386
63" Sleeper w/single bunk
Paccar MX 485 h.p. engine (D.E.F.)
13-speed Eaton Fuller transmission
65 mph
Espar bunk heater
PeopleNet E-logs
*Peterbilt 579 entering fleet later this year. They will be equipped identically except will further add the following:
Battery pack A/C unit
Small refrigerator
10-speed Eaton Fuller tranny (vice the 13-speed).
-Fuel Network:
TCH @ Pilot/Flying J.
-Cash Advances: $200/week.
-Tolls: Anything not covered by EZ Pass/I-Pass is reimbursed.
Now onto negatives here concerning the pay; when you pick up a tank that was pre-loaded by another driver for you to deliver or, you drop a loaded tank that another driver delivers, you get $25 deducted from that load per occurrence.
Also, there is no tank wash pay as usually you will drop the dirty tank, hook to a clean one, and roll out for your next load.
Hope this answers some questions. Y'all be safe, more later...
