I would recommend without hesitation the KLLM Driving school as well as working for them for one year if tyou want to exempt yourself from the cost to attend school. Especially for the ladies, it's a SAFE and CLEAN environment, unlike some of the horror stories I've heard on you tube prior to attending this year. The accommodations were Fantastic, the food in the cafeteria was Excellent and the instructors were some of the BEST! I've driven years OTR for Greyhound Lines with a greater amount of stress because you're dealing with the responsibility of Human Lives: I chose to drive freight for a few reasons but primarily FREIGHT don't talk back! AND your possibilities in the Trucking Industry are only limited by your desire to achieve.
For the ladies who may be interested. . I've learned so much going OTR with my fiancee these past few years and most of what I learned gave me a leg up in training and has kept me out of dangerous situations so far, on the road.

Im happy that you were good with the KLLM School.

I know little about KLLM but FFE I am familiar with having run for them a while. They were the ones who dispatched us on McKesson of Memphis and we transferred to a lease fleet that did nothing but this shipper the rest of that year around the time of 9-11.

Here is real talk on this company. KLLM will tie you to a year long contract. If you are OTR you will surely be sent in bad weather locations. The ladies get no special sympathy from Steve, especially if you a woman of color. After your year, if you can tolerate the company BS then good for you but many of the people in my class have left. Now, a single driver is different from a team. The female trainers are very rude and disrespectful. The cpm is low as well so don't let these folk come on here and make it seem like a great company. It's a modern day slave ship out of water and invisible chains. They could careless about the driver and many of the dispatchers come and go. The night dispatchers are clueless! I have seen good female drivers get booted over nonsense because of Steve and his gang in Lancaster. It's a starter company, do not I repeat do not attempt to go to the academy. If you are unemployed let the local unemployment office cover your truck driving school. You come in with a CDL and they can't yank your balls to get you to perform. If you want to walk away you can, no obligation. After your 6-8 weeks of training hell at KLLM you can either leave or stay. If you attend the school this isn't the case. They have big time snitches who look forward to turning you in on BS so my suggestion, have a CDL before coming. If you don't like it move on.

The poster making the post before mine sounds like a problem employee. She’s the first one to cry race as evidenced by her following statement:

“The ladies get no special sympathy from Steve, especially if you a woman of color.”

What does that mean? You should get a break because of the color of your skin? Did I read that correctly?

KLLM does not show favoritism with drivers when it comes to safety, period. I was a new driver out of school last year this time. Got on with KLLM and couldn’t have picked a better company to drive for.

Since I received my training at an out of state community college I had to commit to only six months. Had no problem with that. They’re going to provide a job and additional training so why would that be a problem? I hope to be with them for years to come.

As a new driver I’ve had the usual bumps in the road but the company has worked with me through those as I continue to develop as a professional driver. I’m grateful to them for their patience with me. Even my skinny white ### has been called on the carpet too. No favoritism (or sympathy) shown by anyone at KLLM to this older, white male.

I don’t want favors. I’ll pull my weight and not cry about it. If you want to be given responsibility then be responsible for your own behavior. No respect for anyone who bad mouths the company they work for.

If the “woman of color” above didn’t want to make that commitment to KLLM then why did she go to our company’s school? This type of person will ##### about everything. They are always miserable and will make sure you are miserable too.

KLLM is a great company. Highly recommended. Feel free to tell them I sent you.
