How high can the boost pressure safely be programmed to for better performance and also is it possible or feasible to do away with vgt turbo or will it kill the engine brake? Thanks in advance.

Boost is not what is killing performance on MX...
-
Not saying that. Just curious if more boost will help and how high can it safely go?

Help with what? I'm driving a 2015 mx13 400,000 miles on it. 13 speed manual, 3.25 axles and I just ran all day from postage Indiana to Potsville, PA doing speed limit all day with 43,000 in the reefer. And my dash at the end of the day showed 7.6 mpg. It's pretty accurate. I even ran 67 mph in 8 direct with the cruise on. I am not sure what power rating this engine is. But I'm sorry theses engines have plenty of power to do the job. And fuel economy is impressive. My last tank mpg avg was 8.10 flat land driving.

I have that exact same drive train and trans with a delete and 530 hp tune. Mine outright sucks on a pretty decent hill and my fuel mileage is more around 6 to 6.2 if im easy with it. Its a 2014 but i found that it seems to have a 2012 engine in it so dont know if thats the problem or what.Oldironfan Thanks this.

I avg 7 to 8 mpg. Doing 65 mph usually. Avg is tank avg. All stock emissions with 400,000 miles. I think the difference is I have a tk apu no idle.

Im home daily but also have apu but ive tried 65 and not much improvement over 70 if i dont stay in it

Yours is a EPA10 1st Gen mx13.... me and you are F**ked
Yours is a 2nd gen hence better everything -
Ok I have a 2012 t660 with an epa 10 mx13 I probably need an overhead done but I'm lucky to get 6.anything I just got rid of some stuff after the turbo if you follow me and it went up a bit but still not seeing 7s hopefully the overhead will do the trick

If that don't fix the issue I'll have to spend some money and buy a laptop so I can tune it myself I'll get the files from my guy for pretty cheap and loose the vgt if I have to but I think you should be able to remap the vgt accuator to work a little better
