worst truckstop ever

Phenix City Alabama. A real dump. Made the T/A Jessup look like the Ritz.

 

The two TA's in Ontario, California come to mind... 12 dollars to park there(if you can find a parking spot) and now one has idleaire- that was a brilliant decision. Plus the staff in the restaurants has to be some of the rudest I've ever dealt with. I know they have a smoking indoors ban but this guy at the counter one time just pulled out his pack to see how many he had left and the waitress was right up in his face threatening to call the cops if he even thought of lighting up. Needless to say everyone left the counter... no one needs to be talked to like that.

 

Where was the Roadrunner? I know I saw it in the 70's , hardly have been to PHX since, now I am there a lot - just curious. Also - Back in the day, when I-10 ended west of PHX and all of the traffic came in on Buckeye Road, at what exit did I-10 end?

pilot, Minooka, IL. It has plenty of parking (for a pilot) but everytime I fuel there it takes me an hour to get out of there.

 

Years ago the Tiger truck stop was a pretty cool place to stop. That was before we had all the "travel centers" we have now. I miss the old days. I see Shady Grove in NM has been closed for awhile now too. I still try to buy my fuel at places like these rather than the big guys when ever I can. I know how the little guys feel.

 

The Roadrunner was up off Mcdowell. There is a strip joint there now I think. I-10 ended I think at 51st ave and they kept pushing it wast as progress was made on the highway. The place the other guy is talking about at 51st and I-10 is no longer a Pilot, it used to be the Circle K before it was Pilot, now is is some kind of independent place that charges $10 to park there. If I am going to pay for parking in Phx. it would have to be at Danny's off 67th ave by the Flying J. There is a fairly new Pilot farther out west of 99th ave. There is also the old Circle K on Buckeye and 35th. That used to be a pretty gnarly place even in the daytime but I have parked overnight there recently and its pretty quiet since the Phoenix cops are there all night long now.

 

the worst one ive come across is the bandit t/s east of allentown pa on us 78/ hwy 22 this place is a #### hole

 

lol, Im right now at the Pilot in West Memphis. I am a rookie driver and I just experienced the first Lot lizard. She offered me her services and I quickly refused. I recorded a video her walking around trying to get a driver.


I gagged a little.


But back on topic. I think the TA in Binghampton NY is the worse one. (so far)
