Why not call a cab, or find another means of getting to the dr. office.
Now as for getting back into driving, you may have to find a logger to work for or get a job driving a yard goat someplace.
Also, you said that you might be able to get a job at a temp agency, why are you not talking to them now.
Get a job someplace, get some self worth back and then go looking for another driving job.
    Just my $.02.

I have an easy explanation on this, CRE wants to get rid of NEW drivers IMMEDIATELY when they have any sort of accident, if they were in the truck driving or sitting at the dock waiting to be loaded/unloaded. Back in 2003 it was CRE's standard practice.

I beg to differ in this economy. I know alot of good drivers that were fired recently for things as silly as you could possibly imagine, just looking for excuses to make cut-backs. I'm also not sure why everyone is being so negative toward the OP.
Maybe he made a mistake, maybe he diddn't, either way he's out of a job and living on the streets. Let's not add insult to injury guys, come on... We're better than that.

So the investment that CRE or another carrier doesn't count for anything......

Why would a carrier invest time and money to only lay-off or fire drivers every 3 months?

Perhaps the problem could have been the pre-employment vetting process?

Not everyone who can hold on to a steering-wheel is cut-out to be a driver....especially going OTR......

Not trying to be an a-z-z hat......just stating life.....

Heck, if he got his self-worth back, he might not want to be a truck driver anymore:biggrin_2559:!!
