I was always told by some of the old Hands that running yer fog lights when there ain't no fog meant you was "light inna loafers", if'n ya get my meaning.

Some drivers think they look cool so they run them. Can't drive with out looking cool.
Some copanies require them. Like Swift. -
I remember a thread on this a while back. A bunch of people posted that the head lights on Volvos are horrible and that's why you usually see them with the running/fog lights on. Don't know how true that is, not too worried about it either. It doesn't bug me any more than those who think their truck is a tree and it's Xmas time. To each their own I guess.

Our 2 Frieghtshakers and my new Mack have driving lights, whenever I turn my headlights on, I turn them on. It's not about blinding, looking cool, being "light in the loafers", it's about being able to see. My headlights are aimed and work fine, but those driving lights provide xtra lighting at different angles. -
Ive driven 2 of those cracker box volvos, with the headlights that are frosted lenses for whatever stupid reason, then covered by that humungous plastic cover that doesnt help, at night you need the driving lights on or you cant see a thing with those trucks, why couldnt they put regular headlights on those cracker box volvos instead of the 2 small maglights on the front.

The Volvo headlights work well when they're new but they get frosted from the constant abrasion of dirt salt etc hitting them.
