They get it when you get there????? I may not have as many years as you but I still have a PERFECT pickup and delivery record, ALWAYS early and my dispatcher makes sure to keep me loaded with quick turn arounds because the bottom line is, if I make the company look good, it sure as hell is reflected in my settlement.

3 lvl 1's in 18 years, good for you, most of us are not that lucky but I still like to know if the scale is open to double check that everything is in order. ( did I bring it up to line 3 after I fueled up? hmm better check and make sure since the coop is open)

In 08 I think I was up to 6 or 7 level 3s and one full blown drug check before the end of July.
All thanks to the states of CO and NM (regular route). I passed all of the inspections without so much as a warning.

Well, the other thing you could do is actually call the scale up and ask if they are open or closed, and what their hours of operation will be.

i'm sure you can find the number on the web.

i'm not sure what, exactly, to say, but it's been done.

Tell em you need a trip permit and want to make sure you get there when they are open.

If colorado does not get you at one scale they will get you at the next. I have never made it through that state without hitting a scale and getting pulled in and asked for paperwork. I expect it. Therefore I do run legal so I have nothing to worry about.

LOL!! About the same with me. Get you coming up 287 always. Then again at Limon. Again W of Denver. Or up near Ft Collins. Or Pueblo. One time I did go from GR Junction to NMex without being stopped. Was over sized which is legal after hours in CO but not NM. Trooper was nice. Said need 6 flags instead of 4 and park it till 6:00 am. Was OK . Parked there at weight station on 25. It was about 60' after a hot day it was nice to open the windows and sleep like a dog. But like you said, have your logs and permits if required in order cause chances are you will be checked.

Are giant red letters the same as running a 1000w linear in the truckstop?

Also, prepass relieves a lot of worry about stopping...
