    I run a daycab w a small tank in 7 states.
    Even run dirt roads frequently.
People don't give a second glance and have never been stopped by leo.
Even in small town PA folks still need deliveries.

What do I like best about trucking ?
First off I have made allot of really awesome friends in trucking .
It has let me see sights that the average American citizen will never see .
It has let me meet some very unique and good hearted folks .
It has let me meet and interact with the worlds largest Richard Craniums .

I have fished mountain streams , lakes , both Oceans and the gulf .
I have been to Museums , art galleries , festivals, fairs county and state , and rodeos all over this great country.
I have eaten in some of the best restaurants and some real dives .
I have seen concerts in stadiums and bands in dive bars .

But the best thing I like about trucking is for the last 39 years it has given and continues to give my wife, two children, and seven grandchildren a danged good life !

Before I go back to my corner I will just say I still get a smile on my face when I fire the old cat motor and pull out in the morning as I float through the gears and wonder what adventure the day will hold .

Thanks for coming “out of your corner” and sharing that story. Nicely written. Ha... those Richard Cranuims...that cracked me up...yeh, they’re everywhere it seems. Only four years of experience here so I’m still a rookie but I enjoyed your positive and insightful outlook.

    Brettj3876 Thanks this.

I enjoy the fact that on cold, wet, nasty days or hot, suffocating, clammy days I make better money in a climate controlled truck than most of the people working in it are making.

What I like is breakfast in one state and dinner in another. It’s the little things :)

Like parking on the state line for a 34 so you can have breakfast on one side of the sleeper and supper on the other? :p :biggrin_25523:

I love starting out for the day with no idea where I’m going to end up for the night. Maybe I should start trip planning?
