I'd go with a NVMe "hard drive" for your primary/application storage. The read speed makes a huge difference in loading speeds.
Did I say huge? I meant HUGE!

Water cooling still has it's uses. mATX builds are becoming more popular and with those cases you're usually pretty limited on heatsink height. In my experience, they can also run quieter since you really never need to run the fans at full speed. In my particular build, there's only a 1-2 degree difference between running at 100% and 55% fan speed under full load.

Went with a m.2 for that reason, plus costs. lolDieselboss and skellr Thank this.

Ahh, see it now. Just glazed over it when I seen 1TB and thought it was something else.
Dang, getting slow.Wasted Thyme Thanks this. -
Happens. I was surprised that in the last 2 years-ish, prices have come down. Same thing, well a smaller SSD and some other minor things, cost almost over 100.00 more when I built it. Forgot I was missing a power supply. oops. lol

I would look at a 6 core instead of that 8 core . The 1600Af is as good as the 2600 in benchmarks , I would spend the savings on better vid card. Looking at benchmarks from 2600 vs 2700 you really dont get much more in terms of fps .

honestly it was only $20 diff between the two, so not really a big savings. What would you go with for video card? Granted only gaming, and streaming.

If your budget minded anything from 1650 super
1660 gtx
1660 super
580 8gb
The new amd cards have been having driver issues , they are still working them out . The 2060 ok is the cheapest rtx card , that's priced at 300 but it's a nice step up .Dieselboss and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
I may just stay with that 6 gig, as it is the same as I have in my current build and it honestly handles everything fine that I intend to use it for. That said, nothing says I can't swap it out later as money permits. Besides I do have a few months before I'll even be licensed and have my own truck running solo. So I can wait to finalize all the specs based on disposable cash right before going solo. Plus I'll need to see how big of a monitor my sleeper can hold. I first thought of using a TV, but I was like WTF for? I'll be using it for streaming/gaming, Not hooking it up to a cable box. lol

The ram increase between the 570 and 580 make a big difference from what I hear. The whole TV thing, I hear you on that. The biggest problem is finding a decent monitor with speakers at all, let alone anything good. I ended up getting a sound bar. Any tv small enough for a truck is absolute garbage quality. Bad color and terrible ghosting.Dieselboss and Wasted Thyme Thank this.
