I was thinking about flatbed...but thinking about tarping in the rain when everything is wet...and even though you'll wear a rain coat...still will get a little wet...and then being out there in intense heat doing stuff...or in the cold cold weather doing stuff...or even the worry of..."Will this fall off???"...plus it's just more easy to find a van job in the future...but I see alot of old drivers doing flat...so I know I can handle it...

Hahahahahah lmfao Dr. Soon2BeTruckingDoctor fixing poor old Minus' dogs ears...priceless. Well I'm sure I'll learn everything company wise once I get with my trainer.
Before I get way too ahead of myself here guys. is W/S taking in new students atm? Say for October or November enrollment? and could I get hired out of Denver once completed? -
call and talk to roxy or sandy, they are the ones u wanna talk too, and they'll give the truth as well.
i hope i can fix his dog, cause minus looks kinda silly always screaming his name, with nothing in return from the dog...... its kinda comical tho. makes minus look like hes got issues.. haha. -
Redwave,
I still get it to a certain extent but you are correct. It's a little hard on the eyes to read. It makes it difficult to comprehend when the english language gets so mangled as it is here. It is fun though to try to figure out out what is being said.
Drive safe -
Thanks soon2betrucking!

Daycab drivers still need to pull in for fuel, use the bathroom, grab a hotdog, or just plain get a rest. Are you seriously saying that daycab drivers should not use truckstops? If you are so insecure that you are offended by a daycab parked next to you at the truckstop I suggest you sleep at a rest area.

Thanks for the tips S2B, I'll give them a call next week.
alli....I don't think that's what he meant, but I could be wrong -
Alls, u know that day cab plot was for me.
s2b I don't know but maybe the scenery has changed since u went over the road.
For example, is the Helena terminal still located behind the super walmart with a bunch of rebate furn in it; or did they move the kitchen from downstairs in the sfs driver lounge and move it upstairs by the sofa. No they moved the denver term from the end of the block to the middle, or the pheonix term trailer yard expanded from the small fenced in yard were you driver side side back then u blindside park. I could go on but u get my piont.
Does watkins still pick up from the papermill by the truck stop left to get in from the term then deal with scales on the way out, S2B don't forget that hard hat its an safety issue. what u doing been there done that.
He's the the road man now he could not even tell u what nadine did or shirley called. This guy is priceless. U could ask me any thing about the west coast I could explain. -
nope, i cant sleep at rest areas..no coffeee.... what i was going at was nawlins, talking about how he'll never see a truck stop again, no piss smelling driveways no lot lizards, all because he is in a day cab now.... so no, i have no problem with a daycab beside me, him being there makes it easier for me to back in.
nawlins, give it up dude, stop talking on behalf of otr here, ur not , so dont post about it, go post about driving a day cab, or running shortline, or go down to the Ladies section and tell them all your worrys about w.s. women love to listen.
its clear that this is an endless battle between the 2 of us, and we would both love to have the last words, but for the sake of the post, give it up dude. people wanna hear from the otr drivers, not past 1time otr drivers.
great everyones got ur point that u hate watkins, wonderful. u said what u had to say, wonderful, now just be a man and be done with it already dude. -
If yer tarping in the rain someone screwed up.
The whole point of tarps is to keep weather off the load. All the loads I have ever had to tarp were either inside a building (or at least under a roof) or I did outside when it was good weather. The only issues were wind. Tarping in the cold is actually nice, since you do so much work you keep pretty warm. But tarping in the summer prolly does suck (didn't run flatbed long enough to run into this though.)
