i guess i never really thought about that with the rain thing, then again, i never put that much thought into doing flatbed either.

I enjoyed the little time I got in skateboarding. It really is a different world from running van/reefer. The companies are better, the drivers are friendlier and more respectful (for the most part, on both counts.. hehe.) But it is more work. It's certainly not for everyone, and I don't think badly about anyone that would rather just bump a dock and wait for someone to unload them. I like driving more then loading/unloading myself, but didn't mind the tarping and the strapping/chaining can actually be interesting. And I'm only 5'6" and 135lbs. :biggrin_25524:

Hope to one day get into heavy haul though. Now THAT is some fun!

Minus I work for central transport the yellow outfit.
I do night cab and its wonderful no traffic straight hwy, from plainfield to york pa 400 round trip at .42 a mile six hour drive round trip.
In between those six I work 4 hours unloading my own trailer then another hour in a half unloading my return trailer at 18 an hour. Lets just say roadway with out the union.
Basically the same money with watkins before tthe paycut.
Sb I guess the scenery did not change, funny how that happens.
Now lets see Nadine and shirley !!! u been there long enough I don't know about minus and Java I don't think they been there long enough to answer that..
One last piont otr they say if your wheels aint turning u aint earning.
In a day cab u get paid for ur time thats all I ask.

nawlins, explain this to me... how the hell do u bash watkins shepard about seeing the same places over and over again, yet your telling us how u run from plainfield to york. u said it before, and u said it again. so im guessing ur on a kinda decicated run?
how does one bash one company for something, yet takes a job doing the exact same thing he's bashing about. why do u waste ur time here dude? really, i wanna no why? u just got married, you should be spending time with her, being a family, being a man, everything im not..
hell, if i had a wife, and my own house, i could be thinking of more things to do then waste time on this tread, on the web page, on the computer...

Sb I really have to check the philly edumacation system seriously.
The same scenery bit was about, doing west coast regional and calling it over the road as watkins put it . Furthermore, it was still in refrence to w/s having no clientel on the east coast to offer me enough hometime and money to do it.
Read my post correctly Sb, same scenery home everyday with watkins same scenery 2000 miles from home then have to ask a week in advance to get home, or complain about why is this day cab in my bed.
Lastly sb I celebtated my 3rd anniversary on my vacation and after u realize its a life commitment whats the rush.

Interesting, I've been on the east coast (PA, NJ, NY, VT) for the last week, then went to Canada, right now in Michigan.

Before anything else I say about west coast is mentioned.

Java the flatbed side actually holds down watkins really, they go anywhere and everywhere. w/s keeps u gone and running in that division. Will newbs be running like that on the dry van side or west coast regional.
