I'm looking at a job offer that would pay $24 an hour hauling gas, overtime at 40 hours.
Is that a good rate for the work?
I'm an experienced (3 year) driver. Clean everything.

I have zero tanker experience but from what I have read I believe you should be around $30
-
Thats not a bad rate. Depends on where youre located.
Brettj3876 and sevenmph Thank this. -

Depending on where you live it's probably a good starting wage.
If you're getting overtime and the benefits are decent it's a good way to gain some experience.
With no tanker experience you're getting paid to learn and it's hard to beat a deal like that. -
Yeah I have van and flatbed experience, but nothing with tanker.

This one list what their drivers make in different parts of the country. Lists Denver @$90k. If you average 60hrs/week that will put you in the ballpark. -
I am making 25.25 an hour same over time but going up to 26 soon and others are at 27 to 30 depending on time at said company and location for example am in the central Cali area starting at 25.25 while a new driver in the LA area would start at 30 due to higher cost of living

Yea that's a good rate to start at. More than what they're paying around my parts. What's it top out at
