I do like the short haul mileage increase. From 100 air miles to 150. That will totally eliminate the need for me having to fill out a log sheet. We have one load we do occasionally that's 110 air miles from home base. We can do the run in under 12 hours easily, but have to fill out a log sheet because it's out of the 100 mile range. And it's a major PITA when you work nights, and have to do that in the middle of the week.

 

I think you forgot the rule where it is illegal to run fatiqued or tire and already no body follows it
3 hours at reciever and im rested and dont want to only drive 30 minutes to a parking lot when i got more energy

 

There is no pressure to relieve in the first place drivers allow thenselves to not get paid detention.

So using the split log you can get 9 off 14 on? And someone else mentioned actual time spent could be a 17 hour day?

As someone who home terminals that could mean a 5am wake up, 6am punch in, punch out at 11pm and back on the roster at 6am the next day?
