Hey guys I have a 2000 freightliner FLD. I cannot get any brake lights on the truck or trailer. This is what I have done:
-Changed brake light switch behind brake pedal and turn signal switch.
    - on the brake switch, one wire leading to bottom prong (power supply) and 3 on the top which I have traced one going to turn signal switch, one going to pig tail terminal in relay area and another leading to a Eaton box behind pass. Seat.
    - when I keep the turn signal plug off the switch everything works on the brake switch correctly- press brake and light stays on bottom prong and comes on for the top prong.. —— when I plug in the turn signal switch, i cannot get power out of the top of the turn signal switch and the power doesn’t stay on the bottom prong of the switch either..
    - I cannot find any fuses on this truck only relays in front of shift.
    - I have all other lights no problem but the brake light.
    - have a light in the pigtail for the trailer only when I leave one of the wires leading off the brake light switch. When I plug all 3 in like normal then I have no power at pigtail.
    - I’ve tried everything I know to do! Please help!

Well thats a good one..not. Since its both trk and trailer a new light cord to the trailer probably ain't it. But maybe worth a try. I would start at your tractor tail lights. Mayby unplug them just to see what happens while hooked and plugged into trailer. Then work my way forward from tractor taillights up thru frame rails and look for wear point's where the wiring goes thru, could be a worn spot. As salt etc gets in it can cause this. Happy hunting. Don't be afraid to push and pull some on the wiring loom ( usually the protective covering) its probably hiding from you. May also be someone elses old wiring job thats giving you fits.
