If rpm guage does not read 500 or at least 200 rpm . Crank shaft sensor needs cleaned or wires are rubbed through. Try un plugging the sensor on intake manifold if it starts crank wires are shorted to mass air flow harness.

Intake harness instead of mass air flow harness
-
When try to start it. It should read 200 to 500 rpm.
-
Will it start jumping it?
Have you looked at the jumpers on the batteries? -
Yeah I've checked all that, all is good. It has new batteries. It cranks over just won't start. Unless I spray ether in it then it just runs on the ether, then dies again
-
Check ecm
-
Omg! I have the same problem with the only difference if I give a little time everything goes back to almost normal. Almost normal is that every once in a while the gauges would act up and then go back to normal
-
Well ?????

I still haven't figured it out. I had to put it on the back burner for the time being.
