Should have left it in the tire and ran. Would've given better traction....

If it's not leaking, I pull it out before it works it's way deeper into the tire.
If it does leak, next tire shop is mine, no matter what.

    Run it you'll be fine.
Also get yourself a heavy duty plug kit and glad hand air hose.
I think the kid I have is called viper I got it at the truck parts store for 45 bucks.

I’m one of those truckers who checks his tires religiously. My experience is that 7 out of 10 times when you see a metal object in a tire, it has not penetrated completely.

Here’s what you should do if you find an object in your tires:
    1. Spray it with soapy water.
    2. If no bubbles, then grab the object with some pliers and—only—wiggle it while you spray some more soapy water.
    3. If still no bubbles, then pull the object out. If it’s a screw, do not pull it. Unscrew it by turning to the left.
Thin nails that have completely penetrated the tire usually will not leak much air. It’ll be about 5 psi every few hours. On the other hand, thick nails will not hold air for long while driving.

The best tool to remove objects are some small pointy pliers.

You have already probably delivered the load but...
A load SO hot that you can not make sure you are safe and legal?

That is some company you are working for, or some mind set you are working under.
It is a danger to everyone out here.

    That's Midnight, he is a great O/O.

    That said ...

    I don't get some of you, I really don't.

    (NOT you moose but others.)

You run teams, run A&E or some other hazmat loads and run hard but you are sooo ***** ******** cheap you won't invest in equipment that helps you keep the truck running 24/7.

GET a tire monitor with internal sensors.

The better ones are not cheap and really tell you on the fly what is going on with EACH of your tires.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.
