It sounds like the training at JB hasn't changed much. I heard Tom Walter left, which is a huge plus, but Rex is still Rex, from the sound of it.

I started training under Tom and Rex back in 2015. I left about a week before testing, because I got sick and tired of the verbal abuse from both of them. The unnecessary yelling, the constant bickering between them, it was like watching children fighting.

Rex knows flatbedding, but in my opinion, he's a poor manager due to zero people skills. Which is a real loss to the industry, or not.

Glad he's liking it. I dont know about any of the truck stops around there, I dont think any of them are great. Depending on where he's reloading, there's a couple decent places on 35E, he can cut over on 67 through Midloathian to Waxahachie. That way if he has to reload in Dfw, he can run straight up in. If they reload him S of there, Petro & TA in Carls Corner are both huge and have decent food.



P. S. I like the rookie new boots and safety vest. I dont care what anyone says, get a good pair of tennis shoes to wear. I bet Im in shoes 95% of the time now.

 

His feet, legs and back will thank him if he gets some good tennis shoes to wear atleast when he's driving.

All I've worn for years are boots, good quality Double H's and in the last few yrs Ive realized that constantly being in them was causing my back issues, even changing out insoles regularly.
