Anyone had a problem with a Meritor 10 speed trans, it shifts ok when transmission is cold but when it warms up it won't switch from low range back to high range..
If you park for a while & then take off again it will shift ok until it gets hot again...
Anyone have this problem before.
Truck is a 2002 Volvo...

Did you ever get to the bottom of your trans problem? Mine is doing the same thing. Changed the shift lever handle, wiring harness, and solenoid at the trans. Any insight would be appreciated.

Yep, Had a few trucks with Meritors and we changed the slave cylinder on the tranny. One, we had to change the shifter knob and it started shifting fine.
Check your air supply regulator. It can get clogged up sometimes. This distributes air to the shifter system. -
Thanks for the info. I'll try that.

I have the same problem on a 2003 Volvo. It was towed to the dealer they want to remove the transmission to diagnose it. I’m no mechanic but what I’ve read of the threads there are so many possibilities on the outside of the unit that should be looked at before the transmission is removed for diagnosis. Does anyone know someone in the Mobile, Alabama area who is an expert at diagnosing such a problem and repairing it? I’m thanking you in advance for anything but I can get.
