any 500 horse engine pre emission and 335 gallon useable tanks of fuel (345 volume capacity) I expect at best 2150 miles range loaded at 65 as a team OR 1650 solo with a limit of 1950 at 72 mph loaded.

Once I was very careful due to Fleet Orders from Operations not to fuel in California while coming south from WA to AZ that turned into about 2200 miles with a couple of gallons left when we finally found fuel on site in AZ. I was very conservative in applying horsepower most of the way. For me that was about the best you can do in those days.

Once in a while in season, about this time of year to Summer, storms in Eastern Colorado Western Kansas eastbound pushing on trailer like a sail will create close to 20 miles per gallon for hundreds of miles if managed carefully. Thats a bonus.

This is with no consideration to shutting off. We idle all the time.

Slow down:) i'm governed to 65mpg(Ontario law) but i drive slower mostly around 62 mph/100kmh ,flat roads Great Lakes to Texas.I get around 8 mpg even with max load 80k gross during winter and high 8-9+ light under 20k in my 2010 780 D13/13 Eaton. D13 is excelent for fuel economy, I own 2nd volvo 780 with D13 since 2007, both great mpg, plenty of power, but are eating more injectors than fuel.

2013 Volvo D13. Averaged 7.3 mpg yesterday overall on about 500 miles. 41k load in an ungoverned truck but I kept it at about 62 to see what I could do fuel wise.
