Thanks Shango. This is exactly the kind of attitude I would take with me to training and work. I'm just that way. Some people get into something thinking it'll be the best thing ever, and when they don't get their way, all of a sudden everything and everyone is bad, when actually they were never cut out for it in the first place. Not only do you have to enjoy what you do, you have to have a special kind of mentality to go along with it. I may not drive yet, but it doesn't mean I can't imagine it not being for me. Thanks a lot for the up lift there.

I'd want to do better than six bills a week, but I could live with it as long as my optimism held out. I have a couple of deductions.....er a wife and a 6 yr old.
Oh! A family? Is that who those people living in my house are? Cool! -
As a company driver with Central I don't think I could make anymore than I do currently. Only so many hours a week you can drive.
I have no bills cept for my Car insurance and cell phone. No house, kids, car loan or anything. So living in the truck is a bonus for me at the moment.
I plan to do a year and then evaluate. -
Same here man. No major bills at all and no family to have to come home to. Living with parents currently, but I have been since I graduated high school. Just a small car payment, car insurance, and a cell phone when i choose to top it up.
I was reading on their website about their 'dorms'. What is the quality of their rooms, how many students do they put to a room, and how about their cafeteria? Is it any good or are there better choices? -
Dorms= 1st wk are like a jail cell. 2 to a room. 2nd wk you go to the Ramada 2 to a room unless you want to pay an extra 25 to stay in your own room.
Food is good there imo. Or you can go to Walmart and buy cheaper food. Depends on your budget. -
Does the food in the cafeteria cost anything? Do they serve all 3 meals & is it pretty good quality? Are there fridges or anything like that in the dorm rooms/hotel rooms?
-
lol, of course it costs. Lunch special is 5.50. No fridge
-
I might wana head to the nearest walmart or something then, lol. I didn't know if they just offered it for free or not.
Would you happen to know, other than checking your DAC, how they go about verifying the previous 3 years of employment on the app?
-
There is a thread that has a ton of good info. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...-week-one-central-ref-womans-perspective.html
They actually called my previous employer -
Thanks man, I'll check that out. Ok, as far as you know then, calling your previous employers is pretty much what they do? And I see on the list there about a security interview. Happen to know what this entails?
