Yeah that was my biggest concern with Colorado. The school is on the 16th, I got the permit Friday and they just give you this little paper license that's only good for 30 days. The license could come in three days, it can take 30. You just don't know.

Also a lot of companies are starting to do hair follicle testing now, (even though it’s not a required DOT test) so if you’ve smoked or ingested weed products in the last six months, it’s recommended you wait for at least seven months from the last known time you did it so it will clear your system.Last edited: Mar 9, 2020

Driving for a company out of state has nothing to do with where you live. 95% of all commercial drivers work for a company that is out of state from where they live.
You only need to worry about your address if you decide you want to live somewhere other than Colorado. Generally you have 6 months before you need a change of address. -
