I don't park any state owned property of any kind ( scale house ,rest area , highway ramp ) in any state !!!
I have been woken up in Pennsylvania DOT then shut me down for being behind on my log book .
New York woke me up and told to drive across the portables they set up while I was sleeping .
North Carolina has wanted to DOT me when I stopped to pee at the rest area .
Ohio has done the same thing to me .

The only time I will even go near any of the above mentioned state owned property is if there are signs out requiring to stop at said locations .

I was just rudely awakened at the I77 southbound scales at the bottom of Fancy Gap.i have parked at this location for years with no problems.
So a fatboy chicken coop cop wakes me up to make me move ten feet to a graveled area on the shoulder. He was being a jerk because he can..I grantee in the morning long after his slack ### is gone the lot will be full. Just a gasbag blowhard looser on a power trip..jerk

You may think there’s nothing wrong with your truck, but I’ll bet a DOT will think otherwise.

I never had a bad night at one. The guys with air dryers popping off every 15 seconds tend not to sleep there. I wonder why?

Sure, but they can think otherwise anywhere. Even the truck stops.

    BackwoodsGA Thanks this.

And when you leave the next mourning you don't have to go across the scale.

D.Tibbitt, BackwoodsGA and AM14 Thank this.
