Finally got the P7100 back from the builder. Flowed 525 or 535cc on his bench cant remember off top of my head. Nothing too radical was done. Went with stock 12mm barrels/plungers expect he used the barrels and plungers off a Jonh deere, suppose to flow more fuel than what mack did. Said it's set for around 600hp with what we have done and to start out at 17° and go from there.........Anyways I'll get on with it

I would like to go as close to oem as possible with proper linkage setup but good luck getting them through Volvo, i mean Mack. We do have a big mack junkyard 2 hours from the house.

My dad was thinking using a cable. He's been mulling over ideas on how to do it and is sorta set on doing it that way.

Any suggestions would be great. You guys that converted peec cats back to mech did you have to fab up everything or cat most likely had stuff oem still available to do the conversion factory right.

We're not gonna hack the wiring harness either. Tuck everything away nice and neat just in case you never know

Is the pump on the left or right side of the engine Cat is on left on the old 3406s look at all the different models of trucks pre 90 they all have similar arrangements. With that pump stay away from Cali they will lock you up for that there plus there may be other states that won't be friendly to it as well.

What about a hand fuel pump? Hook the necessary hoses and start spinning the handle real fast to go fast eh?

Injection pump not fuel supply pump. Bosch P7100 same pump on the legendary 12V 5.9 cummins

@MACK E-6 this guy is converting a 6.7 cummins back to a mech P pump. He's antrim's guy they call when they're stumped. In his mid 60s went to school for this right out of high school

Cp3? Common rail? Thought all 6.7 were common rail? He was talking about it still being drilled I think. Don't quote me on that tho. Same as 24v vp style pump they make a conversion for that

Cable control is bad idea for long cables.
You can't push only pull. What if cable got seized in WOT position and spring is too weak to pull it back?
The other thing is you can't control cable wear. One day it will kick you somewhere on the road. Murphy Law!

You can fab it up to pull with a L bracket but yea i was leaning towards linkages myself.
