I listened to a press conference tonight and someone mentioned closing down schools. Someone also mentioned how pointless that is because highschool aged teens are still going to find a way to hang out together and it will do little to limit exposure. Kinda like when school gets cancelled due to a blizzard but you will still find groups of kids hanging out together.
This fear mongering has to stop or it's going to cripple us allSirscrapntruckalot, Deere hunter, whoopNride and 10 others Thank this. -
I worry about what might happen at 2:50 into this HYPOTHETICAL video:

I'm a company driver, but I'm fortunate, and I've planned well.
Debt free with a good nest egg.

In the 70's we learned about Typhoid Mary in our health class. Then we watched a movie showing how to be safe around food and what not to do in public: spitting on sidewalks, licking fingers, picking our noses etc. I can still remember the class erupting in laughter when the movie showed a man picking his nose while he was preparing food in a restaurant. Not so funny in today's environment.

Been doing it forever having grown up with a dad who owned a development company. Not my favorite thing to do but it has kept my nose above water the last 10 years without having to actually get a real job .Last edited: Mar 12, 2020

Far as my office people or drivers, we aren’t going to quit working unless absolutely forced too. Nobody wants to stop working, they just don’t want the virus. It just got me thinking what if freight quit moving or fuel quit being delivered. Could we hang on for a month or two. The answer is no we would not go broke but only because we are cash heavy. It would take a serious toll though and significantly weaken the company and increase our future risk. One would hope that if you made it through that extremely hard time then you would make up for it with high rates.
I haven’t given 2 ####s about coronavirus but now since places are closing I kinda have too.Tropsnart, whoopNride, Ruthless and 3 others Thank this. -
Universities in Arkansas, Plural are closing. Some schools are well.
What the college kids are doing is flying out on cutrate fares to places they would never afford in normal times.
Kind of like the old nuclear duck and cover under the desk. One reason is that the pile of ashes under there would be matched with the master assigned desk chart later for burial.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
