I was recruited bu Sarah, she answered pretty much all my questions. I'm a little skeptical at this point about the miles. She pretty much quoted the 2500-3000 range from Central's website. Am I pretty much looking at realistically getting ~2000 miles after going through the upgrade process?

Sarah's very nice and was always more responsive than anyone else. I didn't take any bull, but did get all of my serious questions answered. They'll quote everything that's on the website to make it all look good, just like one of the recruiters I was talking to. I asked how readily available the trucks are when it's time to go solo (answer was "immediately"), when actually you may sit a couple of days to a week for a truck. But just remember to look at it all realistically, and when talking to the recruiters, you're the one conducting the interview.

Wasn't exactly a rant

Ok being realistic here, I wasn't being smart to Shango in an earlier Post, he is one of the few Central drivers getting more miles then he can handle, Everyone I talk is having to push hard to get 2500 and I am talking guys and women who have been with Central for a few yrs.
Miles have been down and yep the newer driver do get reasonable miles for a while.
Easy way to put this is Central put 50+ plus through there school weekly= 200 plus a month, They don't have the trucks for these new drivers so usually there will be a wait on a truck, someone quits, gets fired for an accident or just decides once they get with a trainer its not the lifestyle for them!
So turnover is 200 plus a month, what does that tell you????????
You may be lucky and get a good trainer or you may be unlucky and get a trainer who See's you as an extra 8000 miles for the 28 days and teaches you jack ####te.
Why are you going to Central when your family has a trucking company???????? -
Yes, I am scheduled for the 8th! Hope to see you there! It all depends on a variety of things for me. I've been looking into other companies recently, so maybe I find a different one?
Probably not though... so see ya there! -
im going to slc on october 5th, whos with me?

and does central ever get up to washington? what routes does central run?
-
kay thanks...soooo not that many truckers with centeral have to go to co is that what your saying??????????
thanks for answeringggg -
I have looked at several other companys, but if you are lookin for a good price and short time you have to stay, it looks like central is the best. I am not sayin I want to get em' and go, but I dont want to be tied for 2-3 years if im not happy. 12 months is a lott better.
