Just a tiny thing in the floor. The used trailer had a few ceiling leaks when I bought it, I've resealed the roof but there was 1 board with a bit of rot at it's end. Was able to pull out the rotted area by hand leaving just a 3" long hole from the missing piece of plank.
Thinking of just attaching a piece of plywood underneath and filling the hole with resin so it wouldn't be open to the elments. Or would shippers see that and say hell no?
Resin to patch small floor hole?

A small hole they may never even see if the resin color is close enough to the current wood color.
Even then a small hole like that will not cause the lift truck to fall through the floor.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I'm not worried about the structural integrity, just plugging it so a picky shipper wont refuse it due to the hole.

fiberglass resin will bond to wood, its how boats are made. if the wood around the hole is still rotten it will probably pop out in short order but dig it back to solid wood soak the wood in resin, a small hole you could probably mix up some chopped fiberglass strand in some resin shove it in the hole and then "spill" some paint over it and would last a while assuming the surrounding wood isn't already rotten

West system. Google it A+B =rock hard repair. A friend of mine who does Construction and Repair on old houses with old wood beams said they would fill the wood beams without epoxy and became structurally sound beams

I am reminded of certain wood puttys and glues that will fill in nicely.
I used to close myself into a container and stand in the dark looking for sunlight coming in.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
