Yeah . They usually follow calif. Oregon is not my first choice on where to live. Lol Due to that fact.
But I am hoping I can find a ranch somewhere I can afford that actually doesnt copy cat calif . I'm just staying by parents til I find that ranch.lol while I am there my vote will always be pro trucker. Not that my vote will actually make a difference. I'll give it a try though .
1984 359 can it drive in oregon ?

Took her around the block 2 times. After 2nd time , she was parked and about 20 min later I saw a huge puddle of coolant under her. I thought something is going to leak because when I was working on her she had lost a freeze plug. Thought she was not fully drained when parked. But wasnt sure because the freeze plug didnt look like it was put all the way in. Not sure how to say it. It looked new . But not brand new. Anyway replaced it. Put fluid etc . She fired right up.
So now I'm worried. Oil cooler seal is leaking bad. Peterbilt cant tell me if I need a new oil cooler or just a seal. They said the numbers on tag on motor. Nothing comes up.no parts list. So they said the contacted cummins. It's been 2 days and nothing. It looks like the seal could be replaced. It's on the end and 4 bolts.
But I am a women and sometimes guys take advantage thinking I know nothing. So I tread cautiously and shop around lol. Any way. The other leak is metal tube that's on drivers side. Not sure but guessing water pump ? Has pulley goes to injector pump, I think thats what its called. Bottom tube drivers side towards front of motor . Not sure if its cracked ,can be tightened or ? . Air leaks in dash at trailer parking brakes knobs
Far back of truck looks like brake thing ,I hear air.
Still really happy. Had fun going around block. Crossing fingers I can replace seal. If I can I am ordering a couple as I have never done one. Just in case I pinch tear ruin it 1st try. Better safe than sorry.lol I see rust from oil cooler area , so will take her in to get cleaned out.
I'm upset at my husband for not putting more love in her. She deserves it. I love this truck. Lol

It's not your husbands fault, these are all things that happen to Cummins motors, mostly from sitting. Water pumps, especially, poor design, oil cooler, again anything with coolant, even if drained, takes a hit. All the info you should need for parts is on that tag by the air compressor. That pulley is called the accessory drive. Not sure what Pete is telling you, it's not an Italian sports car. Air leaks, again, can't be helped, and I'm impressed. You know a lot,,,for a girl
( kidding)

The engine tag is located were I put the arrow on your pic. Clean it the best you can. If it is still readable it has the engine info you need for parts.

@Changenme
In addition to what @SmallPackage said, I’d suggest writing down the information on it afterwards and keeping it somewhere safe.Changenme Thanks this. -
Thank you everyone. Yes found the tag. Learned in other forum it's not n14 its a big cam 3. Thank goodness I did. When peterbilt called I was able to correct mistake before he did.lol I got teased, but not as badly. . We did get a good laugh but a fun one. My husband and brother told me n14.
Peterbilt wants me to buy new oil cooler. They have yet to tell me if I can replace the seal. So my thinking is... if I have to buy new one anyway, might as well take plate off and see for myself.lol Not that I dont trust them, but I am a woman and new to this. I get treated as such a lot. Which is ok except I wish they would just explain things so I can learn. I dont need secrets lol just small pieces of info. I am actually happy there are not a lot more leaks and such. The freeze plug gave me a coronary to say the least .lol
I am happy I got a good laugh at myself and learned a lot this week. !!SmallPackage Thanks this.
