I have a 2013 pro star. It recently started spewing oil out everywhere on the engine. It started with white smoke coming out the tail pipe. Then a loss in power. Then started making this “wheezing” noise as I pressed the gas. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Is it common with the maxxforce engines?

Is there oil in the coolant?

Notorious for fan hubs leaking engine oil on those. Very expensive to repair or convert to a conventional fan drive...

Max junk. Sorry you didn’t get the memo bro

That's gonna be a very expensive fix brother. I drove a maxx force years ago as a company driver and we had them issues with several trucks. It almost looks like oil is coming out of everywhere but when you get investigating real close it's most likely the front cover to the fan hub. The gasket melts or dissolves with the heat or something. It's a headache to fix and a headache to maintain.

You're probably checking to see if this is a warranty fix.

Maxxforce.
You did not get the memo that payments were made for that POS royal engine that should have never escaped the drawing board into the real world.
I don't know where to begin with that oil covered pile you got under there. My first impression is something truly fatal.
You better have a stiff drink and consider the idea of replacing that POS rig and engine. Just it's presence under the Maxxforce label is a abomination to everything.Chubby Fly Thanks this.
