Was in Northwest Arkansas and North Texas Walmart's, in the last week. Other than a Walmart employee handling out TP everything was stocked, another driver from west Texas is seeing the same thing, no bare shelves.

Walmart is Fayetteville and Fayetteville is Walmart HQ for Global Operations everything.

I am east of you and our walmart managed to get a few things back onto empty aisles by morning. They are doing what they can. Cleaning the place too.

    Its a interesting time.

Trucking is not like that. Never will be. Its been excluded from the 40 hour week and overtime since about 1938ish I think by order of ICC (Equal to DOT, FMCSA today)

you are correct. FLSA of 38 specifically exempts transportation (along with some other legal jargon, never heard of ICC? guessing it stood for Interstate commerce something? maybe i-state commerce commission? just a wild guess lol). just baffles me. i refuse to work past 10 hours. don't care if im at hour 9.5 i stop what im doing and head back to the office, next shift can pick up where i left off. some people enjoy working their life away, and hey by all means if it makes you happy, then who am i to tell you what to do. i just feel like the OTR guys deserve way more then what they get (just based on my experience) . Some are going to a salary base type pay, weekly min plus performance bonuses which is cool. I hated OTR pay. one week barely bring in 600, then 1300 the following week. Just a fan of steady pay you know. not saying i wont put in some extra overtime once it gets closer to xmas or something similar. extra cash is always nice.

I’ve dropped some DC Walmart trailers and seen the stores, it’s pretty bad on some. Paris, TX had literally no meat. The whole wall was empty and all those open freezers in the floor were empty. Most dry goods were ok except water and paper products. Health and beauty looked bare as well.
I dropped the trailer and was unhooking and they were already in trailer before I even got landing gear down and unhooked. I was early, very early

I was at walmart in valrico this morning. No TP. Lots of canned goods gone. All boxed dinners gone. Even vegtible oil was gone. That last part surprised me.
