The driving local and five stops a day isn’t bad, just different than our normal OTR stuff... (and my backing could always use a bit more practice... lol)... but all the daily little S#|+ that the normal drivers either know or don’t deal with is a PITA...

...today’s adventure...

So I am under a load of milk and 4K over on drives... could not find the button to slide tandems... finally found it... (It’s BETWEEN the tandems) ... adjusted... still over by 2k... returning to figure out who to talk to and where they are... dairy building doesn’t have a normal driver window... somehow you are supposed to just know to walk into some unmarked random door, walk up a half flight of steps, pick up some random phone and talk to someone.

Find out it has to go up to some manager cause no one ever has to rework loads here... he looks at the paperwork and says it should not be a problem... so I show him the scale tickets... I guess they can’t or won’t rework it... ok, can I drop this and get another load... I doubt that as they are all prescheduled... ok, can I drop this for a local day cab cause I can’t run 2k over on my drives... I don’t know... making another call...
