All that about modern trucks being so nice to sleep in is absolute bull! I have been running team with my sig other for four years now, just about a million miles together. We got a new truck every two years so they were always in great shape. However, it doesn't matter what kind of truck you are sleeping in as it goes down the road, you are going to get tossed around. Bridge joints are the worst, esp in places like Michigan and Tennessee. When winter ends there are always enormous potholes that open up and those will wake you up with a slam dunk sort of motion that actually lifts your whole body up off the bed then slams you back down. A lot of construction zones are horrible to try to sleep through. States always rob their highway funds to cover budget deficits and the roads suffer. Add to it the Republican refusal to raise roads taxes and you end up with roads like they have in Michigan. Trust me, it sucks sleeping in a rolling truck. Imagine trying to sleep on a twisting mountain road doing 75 on a steep downhill. You wake up wondering if this is the day you are gonna die. When my partner and I get home we always sleep too much because we always comment as soon as we get in bed that it feels so good to sleep in a bed that isn't moving. Ohhh, and a bed that is quiet!
