R.I.M.S. Auto and Trucking

This company looks and sounds great until you get hired. Then you find out that the company operates under Crete Carrier so you have to follow Crete's rules, including their speed rule even though the owner operator trucks are often not governed. You will also learn that that the "newer" trucks they promise are actually 2015 trucks, but you won't actually get a 2015 instead you will get a 2013 that is falling apart around you. So be prepared to spend days at a shop without pay when you first get your truck because you will be given a broken down truck that is missing most things they promise like an APU system. Also, get ready to run several hundred miles a week unpaid for anything like hometime. Getting paid on time in general is a nightmare, and when you leave the company good luck getting your final paycheck. The owner Michael Givens will lie and claim to get the pay issue resolved that day and then will stop replying to emails, start ignoring your phone calls, and in general refuse to pay you. Be prepared to file a claim with your state if you like getting paid. Honestly, end of day, if you are ok with working under Crete skip the middle man and go work for Crete, at least then you will get a decent truck and you will get paid.

 

How long were you working for him? Did you EVER get paid? I'm currently working my way back home. It's been 2weeks so far and I've yet to receive my 1st check for 4,000 miles I've ran. He's not answering his phone or emails either. Idk what's going on but I can't afford to keep living like this. It's been 3 days and no sign of him ANYWHERE!

 

2 words. DONT BOTHER! I'm currently working for them and it's been pure hell for the past 3 weeks! Michael Givens will feed you lies the entire time and contradict himself. He has me stranded and fending for myself as we speak. 2 weeks in. No paycheck and no contact whatsoever. It shouldn't be legal to treat people like this!

 

I've spoken with him everyday up until 3 days ago. No call, txt, email, NOTHING!
